‘I think my husband has been using my Perricone MD cleanser as hand wash…’ she captioned it, followed by a sad-faced emoji.
Clearly frustrated by the mistake, she later told one follower: ‘I may have to kill him.’
Lex soon realised that she wasn’t alone in her frustrations, as many of her followers messaged her saying their boyfriends had been misusing their beauty products.
Furious: The blogger, who has over 6,000 Instagram followers, joked that she wanted to ‘kill’ her husband for wasting the expensive products on his hands
One Instagram user messaged: ‘Boyfriend DRANK my Avene thermal water because he couldn’t be a***d to go to the kitchen.’
Another responded: ‘My boyfriend has no hair, shave it every day. Caught him using my Bumble and Bumble hairdressers shampoo on his beard. Please tell me why.’

Money down the drain: Another disgruntled follower said her bald boyfriend used her pricey shampoo to wash his beard
Another messaged her: ‘We went shopping and I got a new Origins moisturiser and he got hair wax… guess which one he used in his hair the next morning.’
Lex’s blog first gained popularity when she began posting about her treatments for the skin condition rosacea, which she says left her face ‘looking like a tomato’.
The incurable condition causes flushes and flares up to the face, which can be triggered by stress, extreme temperatures, hot drinks, hot showers, alcohol, spicy food and energy drinks.
Another fan said her partner mistakenly used her expensive new moisturiser as hair wax
She saw a new doctor who suggested different techniques such as meditation for stress and running her wrists under cold water to cool down her body temperature.
She also began to research potential treatments for her condition.
She realised cutting certain foods out of her diet, making lifestyle changes and having less stress could reduce her flare-ups.
Lex said she even stopped straightening her hair or drinking too much – and it worked.
